There are many excellent restaurants, but only Zigante is completely dedicated to creating unique dishes with truffles, which elevate the Istrian tuber to the position it deserves.
The Zigante restaurant introduces guests to the possibilities of using truffles in cooking and is the first Croatian restaurant that specializes in truffle dishes. Zigante is located in the village of Livade, in the immediate vicinity of one of the most fertile natural truffle habitats, which is an advantage not many restaurants in the world possess.
From A to Zigante truffles
The restaurant offers a carefully designed menu based on fresh trufflesthroughout the year, created mainly according to the harvesting season of Istrian truffles. Dishes with fresh black truffles are therefore on the menu all year round, while those with rare white truffles are prepared only between October and December. Special dishes are accompanied by a rich wine list with many domestic and foreign wines.

The restaurant’s chefs and sommeliers have received numerous international and domestic awards for their work, such as the first place in the category of “Good Croatian restaurants” won by Zigante in 2005. It is therefore not surprising that this restaurant in a small Istrian village is visited by guests from all over the world.
OIn addition to a unique menu, the Zigante restaurant also organizes business and private lunches, as well as dinner parties and degustations. The renovated Istrian stone house under the name Zigante**** that is an annex of the restaurant houses modernly furnished rooms for a comfortable stay in a typical Istrian countryside. They also offer several tourist packages which in addition to accommodation include various delicacies based on fresh truffles and many other surprises for a complete immersion in the world of Istrian truffles.
